Huma Chia Energy Gels are the best energy food I’ve found. I used Gu for a long time, but only liked one flavor and found them hard to swallow because they are so thick. I also tried the Gu chews, but have a hard time chewing, swallowing and running/biking.
In the last year I have been trying to minimize processed foods and chemicals, so began looking around for a healthier alternative as my workout lengthened. I tried UnTapped Maple Waffles, but found them yummy but too crumbly for me. A little more research led me to all-natural Huma Chia Energy Gels.
The consistency is pleasant and easy to swallow. I’ve tried all the flavors and enjoyed them, even the non-fruit flavors which I generally don’t like. I also like the fact the gels are “all-natural” and that the company is a start-up imagined by a U.S. Army veteran.
